Truist Financial Corp. reached a settlement with a California resident who said the third-party tracking scripts the bank uses on its website violate state privacy law.
Truist website users expect a degree of anonymity when browsing, especially when not logged into an official account, but that the pixel trackers facilitate the creation of persistent digital profiles, plaintiff John Tasker said in his complaint filed earlier this year in the US District Court for the Central District of California.
