TrueCare Patient Advances Lawsuit Over Info Sharing With Meta

TrueCare Property Holdings LLC must face one claim of a proposed class action alleging it disclosed the personal health information of patients of its 27 health centers to Meta Platforms Inc. in violation of California privacy law.

Lead plaintiff Amy Wright plausibly alleged that tracking technology installed by TrueCare on its website operated as a pen register or trap-and-trace device in violation of the California Invasion of Privacy Act, Judge James E. Simmons Jr. of the US District Court for the Southern District of California said Nov. 21.
