Trinity Church Wall Street Faces Racial Discrimination Lawsuit

A Wall Street-centered Episcopalian church allegedly racially discriminated and retaliated against its former media relations manager, according to a new federal lawsuit Tuesday.

Trinity Church Wall Street is alleged to have violated the Civil Rights Act through its disparate treatment of Tiani Jones in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York, according to the complaint. Jones, who is Black, says Trinity’s Chief Communications Officer Lisa Benenson treated her differently than her White co-workers and retaliated against her for raising concerns.
