Travelex Settles Travelers’ Insurance Dispute for $3.2 Million

A federal court in Nebraska has certified a class of Transamerica Casualty Insurance Co. and Travelex Insurance Services Inc. customers who alleged they were denied refunds for insurance coverage they didn’t use.

Judge John M. Gerrard of the U.S. District Court for the District of Nebraska certified on Wednesday a class of thousands of insurance purchasers who canceled their trips before departure. Class members sought refunds for post-departure coverage that was never used.
