Jude Okpala alleged the data breach was the result of TransUnion’s negligent failure to encrypt sensitive information, implement reasonable security measures, carry out adequate analyses and testing of its systems, or properly train its workers.
Information exposed in the breach included names, addresses, Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, and drivers license numbers, according to a complaint filed Thursday in the US District Court for the Northern District of California.
