A pair of service members voluntarily dropped their case challenging imminent discharges from the US Air Force under the Trump administration’s ban on transgender individuals serving in the military.
Master Sergeant Logan Ireland and Staff Sergeant Nicholas Bade dismissed their case without prejudice in a Thursday filing in the US District Court for the District of New Jersey. Their filing follows the US Supreme Court’s May 6 ruling in a separate case that allowed the Trump administration to start discharging transgender members of the military.
