Transgender Minors, Parents Seek to Halt Kentucky’s Care Ban

Kentucky must be stopped from enforcing a ban on gender-affirming care for minors that’s set to take effect June 29, transgender minors and their parents told a federal court.

The recently enacted state law would prevent adolescent patients from receiving medically necessary treatments for gender dysphoria, including hormone therapy and puberty blockers, they said in a filing with the US District Court for the Western District of Kentucky.
