Trans Soldier Case Judge Asks Defense to Document Treatment Cost

The US Defense Department must submit to a federal judge detailed budgetary information for the past 10 years including its expenditures on psychotherapy, surgery and elective surgery for all servicemembers.

The order, issued Thursday by Judge Ana Reyes in Washington comes amidst a court battle over the Trump administration’s increasingly hardline stance against letting transgender persons serve in the US armed forces.
