Transgender women inmates convinced a federal judge to issue a temporary restraining order against President Trump’s executive order that requires the Bureau of Prisons to recognize only a person’s gender at birth and denies inmates treatment for gender dysphoria.
The three inmates showed an objectively intolerable risk of harm if the EO is enforced, Judge Royce C. Lamberth said Tuesday for the US District Court for the District of Columbia.
