Trampoline Park Franchiser Accused of Inducing Infringement

A trampoline and recreational parks franchiser was hit with a patent infringement lawsuit alleging it induced franchisees to infringe a design patent for a recreational slide.

Slick Slide LLC says that Big Air Franchising caused and enticed its partners to buy slides that infringed the ornamental design for a recreational slide claimed by Design Patent D973,821. Slick Slide’s complaint, filed Wednesday in the US District Court for the Central District of California, alleges that one of Big Air’s franchisees was prepared to purchase a Slick Slide product “if not for Defendant’s conduct.”
