Toys R Us showed that the operators of Brooklyn-based cannabis stores called Zaza R Us diluted its trademark, and it therefore is entitled to a permanent injunction, a federal magistrate judge recommended.
Magistrate Judge Lois Bloom on Monday told the US District Court for the Eastern District of New York that Toys R Us should be granted a default judgment on its trademark dilution claims, but not other Lanham Act claims, after the cannabis store failed to answer or respond to the complaint.
