Honda, Kia, Other Car Companies Sued Over Camera Tech Patent (1)

Several major car companies have allegedly incorporated patented camera-related technology into their cars’ surround view monitoring systems, according to a set of new lawsuits.

VDPP LLC has a registered trademark for technology it says stores one or more images and stitches them together to create combined frames, according to the complaints filed in all four federal district courts in Texas over the past several days.

The lawsuits were filed against Toyota Motor N. Am. Inc., Nissan N. Am. Inc., General Motors Co., Am. Honda Motor Co., Volkswagen Grp. of Am. Inc., and Kia Am. Inc. ...
