Toll Brothers’ Buildings Alleged to Fail on Accessibility Rules

The United States is suing a home building company in a New York federal court for developing buildings that aren’t accessible to people with disabilities.

Toll Brothers Inc.—along with its affiliated entities—have consistently failed to comply with the Fair Housing Act’s accessible design and construction requirements in developing five multifamily complexes, according to the complaint, filed in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York. The inspected properties include buildings in New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania, according to the complaint.
