Dow Chemical Accused of Race, Gender Bias by Black Ex-Worker (1)

A former Dow Chemical Co. employee has sued the company claiming racial and gender discrimination, retaliation and the maintenance of a hostile work environment, in violation of state and federal civil rights laws.

Rosetta Biggins filed her lawsuit on Thursday, at the US District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.

Biggins, a Black woman, says began working at Dow’s Midland, Mi., facility in July 2022 but was denied opportunities for advancement and promotion despite her qualifications. She says Dow employees sabotaged her work, excluded her from training opportunities, and made discriminatory remarks about her race and gender.
