A California judge initially approved a settlement mandating that Tinder Inc. pay $60.5 million to users of the online dating app who claimed they were charged more than younger users for its premium services.
“The Court finds preliminary approval of the settlement is fair, adequate, and reasonable,” said Judge Laura A. Seigle of Los Angeles County Superior Court in a brief Tuesday order that will end a decade of litigation if finalized.
