TikTok misleads users about the safety of its addictive design features in violation of New Hampshire law, according to a complaint filed Tuesday by state Attorney General John Formella (R).

The suit is the latest state-led effort seeking to hold the social media giant accountable for alleged harms it poses to children.

“TikTok utilizes addictive product design features to manipulate users and overcome their independent decision-making,” according to the complaint filed in New Hampshire Superior Court, Merrimack County.
