Three Austin Federal Bench Finalists to Meet With Senators

The group of candidates for a critical opening on a federal district bench in Austin has been narrowed to three, each of whom will interview with US Sens. John Cornyn (R) and Ted Cruz (R).

Judge David Ezra of the Western District of Texas let it slip during a hearing Thursday that US Magistrate Judge Dustin Howell will meet with the senators about the vacant bench.
