This Week in Chancery Court: Trump Media SPAC Legal Fees Dispute

Exceptions to a decision in a fee dispute involving a merger between President Donald Trump’s social media platform and a blank-check company will get an airing this week before the Delaware Chancery Court.

There are also a couple settlement hearings worth nothing on the court’s calendar:

Monday: Orlando v. Digital World Acquisition Corp., Del. Ch., No. 2024-0264, oral arguments 4/27/26.

At issue: The SPAC, Digital World Acquisition Corp., will argue before Vice Chancellor Paul A. Fioravanti Jr. that it’s stuck in “a procedural morass” in a dispute with its ex-CEO over legal fees. The special purpose acquisition company ...
