Thermo Fisher Must Hand Over Pay Study to Worker Suing for Bias

A Black woman in her late 50s alleging job discrimination by Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. can review a pay equity study it commissioned, a Kansas federal judge ruled, rejecting the company’s assertion of attorney-client privilege.

A magistrate’s judge’s conclusion that the study performed by Mercer Consulting was done primarily for business purposes was supported by the evidence, the US District Court for the District of Kansas said.
