A group of Cedar Fair season pass holders succeeded in getting two classes certified to seek compensation from the amusement park operator for not refunding their otherwise unlimited tickets during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The lawsuit against Cedar Fair, which merged with Six Flags this summer, said government-ordered shutdowns closed the company’s parks for some or all of the 2020 season, reducing the value of those season passes. The plaintiffs sued in the US District Court for the Northern District of Ohio after, instead of refunding 2020 season passes, Cedar Fair said that they would be valid for the 2021 season. ...
