The real life Global Tetrahedron LLC, not the fictional entity featured in the pages of satirical news site The Onion, has been hit with a proposed Video Privacy Protection Act class action.
A group of media veterans founded Global Tetrahedron to purchase The Onion from G/O Media in 2024. One of its newsletter subscribers sued, telling the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois that Meta Platforms’ Pixel is installed on the Onion website and discloses the titles of videos he watches to Facebook.
