Texas Urban Air Adventure Park to Get Arbitration of Injury Suit

A customer of Urban Air Adventure Park in Texas will have his personal injury suit sent to arbitration instead of resolving the dispute at court, after a state appeals court ruled Tuesday that the arbitration agreement is valid between the two parties.

Plaintiff Hazma Lakhani entered a valid arbitration agreement with Sugar Land Urban Air LLC before suffering injuries at the indoor park’s ballpit, the Texas Court of Appeals, Sixth District, said. The court ruled that the arbitration clause included in the release the 19-year-old signed is enforceable, except the provisions requiring arbitration of exemplary and punitive damages.
