Texas Truck Driver Loses Appeal of $12 Million Injury Verdict

A man who rear-ended a couple’s sedan while driving a tractor-trailer lost his appeal of the $12 million jury award for physical pain and mental anguish because it was supported by sufficient evidence, a Texas court of appeals said Tuesday.

Roberto Alonzo, who was employed by New Prime Inc., rear-ended Christine John’s sedan while she was driving and her spouse Christopher Lewis was a passenger.
