A Texas utility district attached to an Islamic residential development carried out a “coordinated” takeover of a meeting as part of a scheme to expand, a suit filed by state Attorney General Ken Paxton said.
The DOUBLE R Municipal Utility District No. 2A violated the Texas Open Meetings Act by engaging in a “complex scheme to take over and dramatically expand” the subdivision outside of public view, Paxton said in the suit he announced Monday at the Texas District Court in Collin County.
