A man who spent more than a year in jail before his aggravated assault charge was dismissed is unable to proceed with his lawsuit against his attorney for allegedly misrepresenting her communications with him in court, because he didn’t present expert testimony, a Texas appeals court said Tuesday.
Victor Anthony Charles was accused of aggravated assault of a family member and arrested in May 2017. Cheryl Harris Diggs was appointed to defend him.
