A former Texas law firm executive who was fired while working remotely from Montana must pursue his wrongful termination suit in the Lone Star State, a federal court ruled.

The US District Court for the District of Montana said Tuesday that it lacked personal jurisdiction over Roberts Markel Weinberg Butler & Hailey PC.. The firm, whose four offices are all located in Texas, wasn’t shown to transact business in Montana or to have sufficient contacts with the state.
