The Texas Supreme Court ordered a third trial in a legal malpractice lawsuit wrapped in the bankruptcy of a brokerage that went belly-up after a botched deal with a conman.
A judgment awarding Dallas-area broker Henry S. Miller Commercial Co. $7 million in damages will be tried for a third time, the mostly united court said Tuesday, while canceling a $13 million judgment against the broker’s lawyer for negligence.
