The Texas Supreme Court scolded an Austin appeals court Friday, saying the lower court failed to weigh standing issues before allowing a case challenging the state’s abortion ban to proceed.
The high court justices said the lower court was attempting to “prematurely drag the judiciary into highly contentious and politicized debates that, unless and until they ripen into concrete disputes fit for judicial resolution, remain only within the domain of the other branches of government.”
