President Joe Biden violated federal law when he unilaterally raised the minimum wage for federal contractors to $15 per hour, a judge in Texas said.

The Procurement Act didn’t give the president the authority to use an executive order to increase the starting pay for workers who contract with the federal government, Judge Drew B. Tipton of the US District Court for the Southern District of Texas said Tuesday.
