Texas Illegal Voting Probe Targets Expanded to More Than 100

Texas is expanding an investigation into illegal voting, focused on more than 100 potential noncitizens who cast ballots in the 2020 and 2022 election cycles.

The voters submitted a total of 200 ballots in the two election cycles, Attorney General Ken Paxton (R) announced Tuesday. Most of the suspected illegal ballots were in Harris County, home of Houston, and the state’s most populous county, Paxton said.

The announcement comes one month after Paxton opened an investigation in June into 33 potential noncitizens who allegedly voted in the November 2024 general election.
