Texas Gun Owners Get Temporary Stop on Forced Reset Trigger Rule

The US Department of Justice regulation to classify firearms with added forced reset triggers as machine guns can’t be enforced against a group of suing Texas gun owners and sellers until the court rules on whether to preliminarily block an update to the rule.

Judge Reed C. O’Connor of the US District Court for the Northern District of Texas sided with the pro-gun plaintiffs on Wednesday, granting their request for a temporary restraining order blocking the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives from enforcing the measure.
