A Texas doctor won’t have to face a lawsuit over a breast reconstruction procedure he did on a former breast cancer patient, after he was able to prove the expert report was deficient, a Texas appeals court ruled Tuesday.
Gary Horndeski was sued by Cheryl Price for medical malpractice following a 2019 procedure to remove extra skin from her breasts after her breast cancer surgery. Horndeski uses a breast reconstruction method called “Bellasoma” that is supposed to leave less scarring. Price alleges that shortly after the surgery she developed painful blisters and pustules on her skin.
