A federal appeals court temporarily halted an opinion ordering Texas to remove floating barriers in the Rio Grande installed by the state to deter illegal border crossings.

In a win for Texas Republicans and Gov. Greg Abbott (R) in their bid to go around the federal government in securing the border, the Fifth Circuit on Wednesday agreed to rehear the case, this time with the entire court present for oral arguments.
