Teva Owes Salespeople Overtime for Training Program, Suit Says

Teva Pharmaceuticals USA Inc. failed to pay sales specialists overtime for work they performed during a mandatory training program, according to a complaint filed in federal court in New Jersey.

The pharmaceutical firm misclassified new sales specialists as exempt from overtime, so it didn’t pay them the proper amount when they worked more than the standard 40 hours during their training period, the complaint filed in the US District Court for the District of New Jersey says.
