Teva Drops Inhaler Patent Infringement Lawsuit Against Amneal

Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. agreed to end its lawsuit alleging Amneal Pharmaceuticals of New York LLC and its affiliates infringed patents for the pharmaceutical giant’s asthma inhaler.

Judge Stanley R. Chesler of the US District Court for the District of New Jersey dismissed the case without prejudice on Tuesday, after the parties filed a letter on Monday seeking to end the suit.

The dismissal came just two days before Teva was due to file a petition to the US Supreme Court challenging an appeals court ruling that upheld Chesler’s June 2024 order, which said that five of Teva’s patents ...
