Tesla Inc. was accused of infringing a patent protecting technology that helps self-driving cars avoid emergency vehicles in its Tesla Autopilot, its autonomous driving system.
Autonomous IP LLC says Tesla infringed its patent for technology that detects and avoids emergency vehicles when near a substantially autonomous vehicle, according to the complaint it filed in the US District Court for the Western District of Texas on Wednesday. Tesla didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.
