Tesla, Driver End Lawsuit Over Non-Fatal Autopilot Car Wreck

Tesla Inc. agreed to end a lawsuit by a Virginia driver who alleged his Tesla’s Autopilot self-driving software caused a car wreck that injured his head.

Tesla won’t pay any money and each party would bear their own legal costs, according to the parties’ agreement to drop the case, which was approved Monday by a California federal judge.

The stipulation comes shortly before the case was set to go to a jury trial in the US District Court for the Northern District of California on Sept. 30.
