Tesla Seeks Quick Victory in EEOC Systemic Race Harassment Suit

Tesla Inc. told a San Francisco federal court that an Equal Employment Opportunity Commission lawsuit alleging widespread race-based harassment at the company’s Fremont, Calif., facility is short on details and should be dismissed.

The agency’s Sept. 28 complaint claiming that Black workers have been exposed to a hostile work environment at the manufacturing plant since at least May 2015 “fails to name a single victim or perpetrator” of the purported racial abuse and related retaliation, the company said in a filing Tuesday in the US District Court for the Northern District of California.
