Tesla Inc. will no longer face a patent lawsuit from Utah-based company Arsus LLC involving anti-rollover technology in certain Tesla model’s Autopilot mode after a California federal judge Tuesday approved Arsus’ voluntary dismissal.
Arsus, which sued for patent infringement in 2022, agreed with Tesla to voluntarily dismiss its suit with prejudice, meaning Arsus can’t refile its claims later.
Judge Kandis A. Westmore of the US District Court for the Northern District of California approved Arsus’ voluntary dismissal of the case Tuesday, days after it was filed on Sept. 4.
