Terrorist Group Label Sparks CAIR Lawsuit Against Texas’ Abbott

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) is being sued days after he prohibited the Council on American-Islamic Relations from acquiring land in the state, the latest development in his bid to eradicate the Muslim advocacy group he’s branded as a foreign terrorist organization.

Affiliate chapters in Fort Worth and Austin say Abbott violated their due process and First Amendment protections in declaring CAIR a transnational criminal organization.
