Tenth Circuit Probes SCOTUS Gun Ruling’s Effect on Colorado Ban

The US Supreme Court’s latest gun rights decision could affect the outcome of an ongoing dispute over Colorado’s firearm sales ban.

The US Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit heard oral arguments last month in a lawsuit challenging Colorado’s law banning gun sales to people younger than 21. But on Tuesday, the judges asked parties in the case—the Rocky Mountain Gun Owners and the state of Colorado—to file additional briefs explaining how, if at all, the suit is affected by the Supreme Court’s June 21 decision in United States v. Rahimi.
