Tennessee Can Enforce Porn Site Age-Gating Law During Appeal

Tennessee Attorney General Jonathan Skrmetti can proceed with enforcing a state law requiring porn websites to verify the ages of their users while he appeals a lower court ruling that struck down the statute on First Amendment grounds.

A three-judge panel for the US Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit on Monday temporarily lifted the injunction against Skrmetti while it considers the constitutional merits of the law, known as the Protecting Tennessee Minors Act.
