A proposed class suit against Tecta America Corp. over allegations the commercial roofing contractor failed to protect the data of its employees ended with a voluntary dismissal from the plaintiffs.
Tecta was sued by workers seeking to represent at least 22,573 current and former fellow employees over an October 2024 data breach in the suit filed in the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
- The plaintiffs voluntarily dismissed the suit without prejudice May 15
- Judge Charles P. Kocoras terminated the case the same day
- Counsel for the parties didn’t immediately respond to requests for comment
