TaylorMade Golf’s Patent Suit Meritless, Club Designer Says

Golf club designer Southern California Design Co., known as Indi Golf, asked a federal trial court to dismiss a patent infringement suit brought by Taylor Made Golf Company Inc., saying there is nothing in the complaint to show that it manufactured the accused products.

The suit, filed in January in the US District Court for the Southern District of California, alleged that the Kirkland Signature Players Iron set of golf clubs sold by Costco Wholesale Corp. infringes five patents for TaylorMade’s popular P790 irons.
