Target Gets Worker’s Discrimination, Retaliation Claims Trimmed

Target Corp. is free of claims that it discriminated against a worker because of his sexual orientation and retaliated against him for speaking up about the alleged mistreatment, a federal judge said.

The former employee didn’t plausibly allege that heterosexual workers received better treatment, the US District Court for the Southern District of Florida said. He also failed to establish a causal link between his complaints about sexual orientation and disability bias and what he described as additional harassment, the Wednesday opinion said.
