Tampax, U by Kotex Tampon Makers Hit With Lead Deception Suits

Procter & Gamble Co. and Kimberly-Clark Corp., the makers of Tampax and U by Kotex tampons respectively, were hit with proposed class action lawsuits alleging they fail to disclose their products might be contaminated with unsafe levels of lead.

Consumers “certainly expect that the healthcare products they purchase to put inside their bodies will not contain, or risk containing, any knowingly harmful substances that cause injury,” the complaints filed Wednesday said.
