Tamko Heritage Shingle Defect Class Claims Advance on Newest Try

Tamko Buildings Products Inc. lost its bid to dismiss would-be class claims alleging it hid flaws in Heritage roofing shingles, after a federal court in Kansas said a new complaint corrects prior pleading problems.

Summerfield Gardens Condominiums and several individuals assert common-law and statutory claims under Illinois, Connecticut, and Ohio law. They allege Heritage shingles don’t meet industry standards and prematurely fail.
