TalentLaunch to Pay Over $1.2 Million to Settle Data Breach Suit

TalentLaunch LLC won final approval for a $1,225,000 settlement that ends a class action alleging it negligently failed to protect the personal information of nearly 120,000 people that was exposed in a 2023 data breach.

Judge Pamela A. Barker of the US District Court for the Northern District of Ohio granted the plaintiffs’ motion for final approval of the settlement in a Thursday order. Class members will be able to recover up to $5,000 in out-of-pocket losses related to the breach, and a pro rata payment of up to $350 for each class member who submits a valid claim, ...
