A company specializing in developing and selling woodworking machines is suing a foreign competitor for selling products that use its safety systems patent.
SawStop Holding LLC alleges Felder KG, an Austrian-based company, is infringing one or more claims for three of its patents related to safety systems for woodworking machines, such as table saws.
Felder is selling power equipment with a safety system called the “Preventive Contact System,” which infringes three patents SawStop owns, according to the complaint filed in the US District Court for the District of Oregon.
