Swift Transportation Driver Ends Pregnancy Accommodation Lawsuit

Swift Transportation Co., its parent company, and a California truck driver settled her lawsuit alleging she was denied accommodation for her pregnancy and placed on unpaid leave, forcing her to quit.

Ronniesa Tolefree filed a notice of voluntary dismissal with prejudice with the US District Court for the Eastern District of California on Tuesday. The parties “have resolved this matter,” the filing said.

Swift, Knight-Swift Transportation Holdings Inc., and Tolefree had told the court on June 6 that the case “settled in all respects” and that the parties were preparing a written settlement agreement.
